I've known Ben since first grade. He was a always this little guy. He was always nice too. Then many years later during a sewing project, I connected with his wife to help me sew. Not knowing who she was at the time, I was surprised when Ben showed up at my house to pick it up. Small World! Out of the car walked a tall Ben-still with curly hair-still nice.  And he remembered me!

I piped up, "Wow Ben, you grew!" He laughed and explained that he grew on his mission. He talked about his wife and kids. He was warm, personable and sincere.

Ben was one of my best friends early in my life.  The comment about his big heart sums it up for me.  What a good guy, always upbeat and positive; always willing to help.

I got together with him every so often after high school, and he had never changed that good, solid personality.  I miss him.
